7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Event Details

As we head into the warm weather seasons, please join us for a fascinating presentation about the electric power grid. The electric power grid is changing. Our region is making a shift toward carbon-free generating resources. At the same time, overall electric demand is rising significantly due to the electrification of heating, cooling, and transportation. What does our future grid look like? This presentation will cover what we can expect in the next ten to twenty years.

Our speaker, Eduardo Sanchez, has been in the power industry for almost thirty years. He began by running submarine nuclear reactors for the United States Navy. He has been part of the team running the New England transmission grid for the last fifteen years. He will share his unique insight with the Wilton community and answer questions about the power grid.

No charge. Registration recommended. Register online or call 203-762-6334. Please contact Andrea Sato with any questions at asato@wiltonlibrary.org.
