Disaster Preparedness: Plan Ahead

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Event Details

Please join us as Wilton Library and Wilton’s Police and Fire Departments present a special online program on disaster preparedness and what you need to think about and do before the next major weather event. In the aftermath of Isaias, it’s essential for all of us to think through how to prepare for future storms.

Our presenters, Police Chief John Lynch and Fire Chief Geoffrey Herald, will give us their experience-based advice as well as taking us through a checklist of important steps to take in advance of a major storm. They will also explain how best to cope with different kinds of weather events while they are happening and how to stay safe in a storm’s aftermath.

Online registration is required in order to receive the Zoom invitation link. People on the wait-list may also watch the program via a YouTube live-stream link which will be sent out shortly before 5pm. A recording will also be made available soon after the program. Questions may be submitted in advance to Michael Bellacosa at mbellacosa@wiltonlibrary.org. We will also take questions at the end of the program using Zoom’s chat function.
