Join us for an introduction to the art of calligraphy. In this online workshop, we’ll focus on the Italian Hand.  Unlike handwriting, calligraphy follows rules and is slow and deliberate in creating beautiful letters.  You'll learn some basic strokes, how to determine the best height for your letters based on your pen nib and a few other tips to get you started on writing in the Italian Hand.  It's a great way to personalize a card, gift tags or name cards.

Materials needed:

 * Calligraphy pen with a chiseled felt tip pen in either a 2mm or 3mm nib width.  Sets can be ordered on Amazon: Sakura Calligraphy Pen Set  OR  Speedball Calligraphy Pen Set

* White copy paper 

* Pencil and ruler

* Special lined paper specific to the nib width you'll be using (This will be sent after you've signed up.)

For ages 18+. Registration required and space is limited. Must have access to Zoom. A link will be provided the morning of the session.
