New Yorker Shorts: Four Weeks of Short Stories From The New Yorker. Week One: "My Apology," by Sam Lipsyte

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Event Details

Back by popular demand for our 7th year!  Using Zoom, professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar will discuss 4 short stories published in The New Yorker magazine over 4 consecutive weeks: July 14th, July 21st, July 28th & August 4th. Story titles will be announced one week prior to the discussion.

The current issue of The New Yorker is available in the Reading Room for in-library use, or download it through OverDrive on your computer or the Libby by OverDrive app on your mobile device.  Links to the stories at The New Yorker's website will also be provided.

The current issue of The New Yorker (July 12th & 19th) is a double issue with just one story, so this week we will read a story from an earlier issue.  The story for this week is "My Apology," by Sam Lipsyte, from the July 5, 2021 issue of The New Yorker.  The story may be found on The New Yorker's website at https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2021/07/05/my-apology  In addition, a printout of the story is available at the reference desk so attendees can make copies if they wish.

Online registration.  Registration is limited.  Must have a Zoom account.  We will email you an invitation link shortly before the event.  You must register for each individual session.  Please note that the Zoom link for each week's session will come by email from kzeibak@wiltonlibrary.org.

If you have any questions, please email Karen Zeibak at kzeibak@wiltonlibrary.org
