Take a fun and enlightening journey through Boston Red Sox history with the author of the Ultimate Boston Red Sox Time Machine Book, Marty Gitlin. This presentation features exciting and nostalgic videos of the greatest and most fascinating players, teams, events and moments in franchise history. The program also includes trivia questions for patrons to ponder and covers Sox history from the Royal Rooters, who launched Red Sox Nation, to Babe Ruth to Ted Williams to The Impossible Dream Season of 1967 to Lynn, Rice and '75 to the heartbreak of 1986 all the way to the four World Series championships and beyond. It will conclude with a question-and-answer period.

Marty Gitlin covered Major League Baseball as a sportswriter for two decades and won more than 45 awards, including first place for general excellence from the Associated Press for coverage of the World Series. He has authored many sports books, including The Ultimate New York Yankees Time Machine Book and The Ultimate Boston Red Sox Time Machine Book. Those books are the only ones that cover the entire history of those franchises from well over a century.
