Please join us on Wednesday October 23 at 7pm for a screening of the film: Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic presented by Wilton Go Green and Wilton Library as part of our green speaker series and with special thanks to Planet New Canaan.

This 2010 American documentary film exposes the effects of plastic bags and other plastic consumer merchandise and their effects on land ecosystems, the marine environment, and the human body. A brief Q&A session will follow the film with Jeanine Behr Getz, Lynne Vanderslice, and others to be announced.

Jeanine Behr Getz is the author of the award-winning book Think Green! Jeanine is a guest writer and awareness advocate on environmental and human health issues, owner of EcoGrowth Group consulting, and founding member of BYO Greenwich and BYOCT.


Lynne Vanderslice is the First Selectwoman of Wilton. Her administration has implemented a number of environmental initiatives including elimination of crumb rubber infill in municipal turf fields and a plan to meet 70% of town and school electricity needs through renewable sources before 2022.
