Event Details

Please join us in the Brubeck Room for a Wilton Youth Council Parenting Series event.  This panel discussion explores the role of rest and recreation in scaffolding our tweens and teens to a satisfying launch. Panelists will connect clips from the award-winning documentary, Chasing Childhood, which focuses on three tri-state communities, including Wilton, and considers many elements of what makes a healthy upbringing. Panelists include: Justine Bedocs, Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Founder, Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy; Tanya Leonard, Program Coordinator for Youth to Youth and Teacher, Middlebrook Middle School; and Meghan Perazella, CEO and Co-Founder, The Hangout Spot.
A Q&A will follow the panel. This event is most appropriate for parents/caregivers with teens and tweens. Prior to attending, we encourage participants to view the Chasing Childhood documentary, which is free on YouTube here.

Sponsored by the Wilton Youth Council, Wilton Library, SPED*NET, the Wilton High School PTSA, and Middlebrook PTA. Registration required.  Please register online or call 203-762-6334.  For more information, contact asato@wiltonlibrary.org.
